You can build your own rpm from the tarballs, there is already a spec file inside the tarball. On an rpm-based linux distribution, do the following:

  1. rpmbuild -ts manaplus-version.tar.bz2 - this will build a src.rpm file, which you can use in the following command.
  2. rpmbuild –rebuild manaplus-version.src.rpm - this will make binary rpm files, which you can install.
